Fantastic aren’t they! Keeps the kids entertained for hours!  They use up all that extra energy and it encourages neurological development (improves their brain).

HOWEVER it isn’t a toy and it must be used with caution. In fact there are recommendations out there that discourage use of trampolines anywhere other than in supervised training programs for gymnastics, diving or other competitive sports.

If there is one suggestion that we would make it’s this:

If you are going to let the kids use the trampoline, then only let one child use it at a time.

This at least reduces the impact!

Other very useful suggestions are:

  • supervise at all times
  • no somersaults
  • make sure the padding around the trampoline is well placed and in good condition
  • get into the habit of checking the equipment regularly
