People often ask for stretches that will relieve the tension in their neck muscles. Here are three stretches that you can use at home. Remember to always start from the neutral position. The trapezius muscle runs along from the base of your neck to your shoulder. The levator scapula muscle is used to lift your shoulder blade and will often be sore at the base of the neck or the top of the shoulder blade. The scalenes are muscles at the front of your neck. They will be tense in those people who breathe incorrectly.
