Plantar fasciitis is a very common cause of heel pain. It’s caused by inflammation and strain on the plantar fascia, which is a band of tissue that supports the arch of your foot.
The heel pain will often be worse first thing in the morning after getting out of bed, on getting up from sitting, or if you’ve been on your feet for a long time.
There are lots of things that you can do to help yourself get better at home.
